About our beautiful School
Botsalo primary is a full government school based in Mabopane Block B. The school has initiated a project to develop computer laboratory for our school children across the area as part of the vision which is empowering the community in need through education and uplifting their overall standard of living. This project was designed after taking into consideration of the needs of less privileged learners, who lack the necessary resources to learn Information Technology (IT) and don’t get to learn IT as part of their primary education (Grades 1-7) at school, though it is the appropriate age for one to begin to learn and develop his or her skills in this area. Therefore it is the parents responsibility to give our
supportive hands to the learners, and our efforts will enable them to succeed in this technologically
advancing world.

Our School History
Botsalo primary was established in the year 1900 as a middle school to meet the academic needs for children between 3-5 years. Later, it developed to the level of primary school with Primary level classes 1 to 8.
School Admission Details
It is the responsibility of every parent and guardian to ensure that their children are registered for the following year, well before the end of the current school year. Parents may register children who are supposed to start school next year, near their home or workplace between April and October of each year. It is however important to check the registration deadlines of individual provinces.
The admission age of a learner to a public school to
Grade R is age four turning five by 30 June in the year of admission;
Grade 1 is age five turning six by 30 June in the year of admission.
The principal of the school must give a parent/guardian the admission policy of the school and explain it. A public school may not administer any test for admission to a school.
